Taylor and Thomas
This month features Taylor and Thomas’s stunning Strawberry Garden Ceremony in June. It was such a well thought out day from start to finish and the weather was just out of this world. Family was very much at the centre of the day with the couple’s gorgeous children taking part in the ceremony and the speeches. There were lots of children at this wedding and it was so special seeing them all enjoying the gardens, especially the swing!
The couple chose to have their ceremony in our romantic Strawberry Garden, surrounded by a beech hedge to create a sense of intimacy and covered by a canopy which kept the sun off everyone during the event. The lovely ladies from Aria String Quartet played beautiful pieces throughout the ceremony including some Bridgerton classics!
The Drinks Reception was held across the lawns of our 3-acre Walled Garden with guests making the most of the summer sunshine and drinking cocktails made by our fantastic bar. There was plenty of entertainment with Garden Games setup around the lawns, Rodd Hogg the Magician doing tricks and Aria String Quartet serenading everyone in the background.

What made you fall in love with Ballyscullion Park?
The beautiful grounds and stunning flowers and greenery, we loved how it was all inclosed and safe for the kids to run around.
We loved how everything was close together and we could enjoy our magical day all in one place. The shelter on the strawberry garden made it more comfortable for our guests during the ceremony as it was a very hot day.
Having the cottages was a mega bonus for us as we travelled from donaghadee so ourselves and selected guests could spend the night there.
What was your favourite part of the day?
My favourite part of our wedding was the ceremony in the strawberry garden, it was absolutely beautiful and was exactly what I dreamed of. So elegant and peaceful and looked amazing.
What would be your number one piece of advice / tip that you would give to couples getting married at Ballyscullion Park?
Don’t stress! The staff at Ballyscullion were fantastic at looking after us. Nothing was too much to ask and everything ran smoothly, it couldn’t have gone any better
