Lenice and Ryan

                                                                                                                            Lenice and Ryan

This month’s blog features Lenice and Ryan’s Strawberry Garden wedding ceremony and marquee reception.

An incredibly beautiful sunny day at the end of May, the couple lucked out with the most perfect wedding for an outdoor ceremony and drinks reception.  The couple exchanged vows in the beech hedged Strawberry Garden surrounded by their family and friends which was elegantly decorate by Inspired Memories

Guests enjoyed flutes of Guinness and glasses of Prosecco while they sat out in the sunshine and admired the beautiful gardens.   The couple had bubble machines which created the most fantastic photos, really impactful and something a little different and quirky compared to the usual confetti shower.  Another slightly different factor at this wedding was that the speeches were done outside around the fire pit just before everyone moved into the marquee for dinner.  Having your speeches outside is a really great way to make it less formal for the speakers and it definitely helps with the nerves.  The photos of the speeches are also so much more beautiful as the guests and the couple are surrounded by the beautiful garden.

The Marquee was beautifully dressed by Inspired Memories with  a top table covered in greenery and white roses.  Matching green sashes were tied around alternate chairs which tied the decor together perfectly.  The top table was a double sided banquet table, a setup that has become increasingly popular as it allows more space for extra family members.

What made you fall in love with Ballyscullion Park?

We loved ballyscullion the moment we set eyes on it. We wanted a relaxed outdoor setting and it ticked all the boxes. The gardens really do all the talking and the attention to detail of all the different parts of the venue made it really stand out

What was your favourite part of your day at Ballyscullion Park?

We loved seeing the guests enjoying themselves in the gardens whilst we got our photos taken. We were really able to relax and enjoy ourselves instead of feeling rushed. There are so many beautiful parts of the garden for photos and also for people to explore, whilst still feeling like we’re all together

What would be your number one piece of advice / tip that you would give to couples getting married at Ballyscullion Park?

We did our speeches outside before dinner, which felt much more relaxed. It meant the drinks reception into dinner then felt seamless (and the men could relax). It also meant everyone could appreciate the beautiful fire-pit area.
