Varanya and Ronan
This month’s blog features Varanya and Ronan’s romantic Strawberry Garden ceremony and marquee wedding reception. This was a really interesting wedding as the couple contacted us while living in Australia and booked the venue without even seeing it in person! They loved Ballyscullion Park from the pictures they saw online and booked when they viewed the venue via WhatsApp with one of the team.
The Strawberry Garden was elegantly decorated with lanterns along the aisle and faux flowers adorning the beech hedge arch. The couple had already married in Australia as the bride is Australian but they had a lovely blessing in the Strawberry Garden to mark the occasion.
The Marquee looked truly magical as each table had an elegant cherry blossom tree as a centrepiece with tea lights hanging from each tree. The stunning cake was provided by local baker the FlanaBakes. All decor for the Strawberry Garden and Marquee was provided by The Wedding Room NI.
The guests enjoyed the drinks receptions with canapés from Arbutus Catering and sipping on delicious drinks provided by our excellent Bar Manager Garry and his team.
We have hosted many weddings over the years where the couple lives in the UK or further afield such as Dubai, Qatar and Australia. The team at Ballyscullion Park are experts at helping couples living abroad organise their day at our beautiful venue and we love welcoming guests from all over the world.

What made you fall in love with Ballyscullion Park?
We were on the hunt for a venue with a marquee and came across Ballyscullion Park. Not only was the marquee absolutely stunning, the grounds surrounding it were incredible! We were planning this wedding from Australia and as you can imagine it was extremely challenging doing everything virtually. We only saw Ballyscullion through pictures and set up a call for a virtual inspection. The team were so warm, helpful and welcoming and that was what sealed the deal! We booked the venue without even seeing it in person!
What was your favourite part of the day?
For both of us, it was me walking down the aisle in the beautiful Strawberry Garden. It was the most stunning set up and felt like everything we’d dreamed of.
What would be your number one piece of advice / tip that you would give to couples getting married at Ballyscullion Park?
1. Definitely do it!
2. Trust the team! They were so helpful with everything and everyone they referred was brilliant. It was like a well oiled machine. The lead up preparation and the day itself was perfection.
