Claudia and Aidan
This month’s blog features Claudia and Aidan’s beautiful Strawberry Garden ceremony and marquee wedding reception. The couple lucked out with the most beautiful weather which made the day even more special
The Strawberry Garden was elegantly decorated with lanterns along the aisle and faux flowers adorning the beech hedge arch. This ceremony space is so beautiful it really requires very little decoration, but adding flowers to the arch is a really impactful way to further enhance the area. The couple and their guests enjoyed being serenaded throughout the ceremony and Drinks Reception by the wonderful Les Magee who is an exceptional Harpist and Singer.
The Marquee looked truly magical as each table had an elegant cherry blossom tree as a centrepiece with tea lights hanging from each tree. There was also a fabulous floral hoop backdrop for the absolutely stunning cake. All decor for the Strawberry Garden and Marquee was provided by The Wedding Room NI.
The guests enjoyed the beautiful sunny day by playing with garden games on the main lawn whilst smoking cigars and drinking delicious cocktails crafted by our excellent Bar Manager Garry and his team.

What made you fall in love with Ballyscullion Park?
We fell in love with Ballyscullion Park because we wanted a venue that seemed like it came straight out of a Jane Austen novel. We loved the idea of the open garden and everyone out in the sun having a wonderful time together all dressed in their finery. Something felt very personal about Ballyscullion Park compared to the more common wedding venue that after seeing it there was no looking back.
What was your favourite part of the day?
Our favourite part of the day is nearly impossible to decide as we honestly couldn’t fault any part of it. I personally loved when we first sat down to dinner, the marquee looked so beautiful and we noticed we were having a short rain shower but the sun was still shining through it which made the gardens look so magical and we just felt so lucky to be there. The staff made us feel like royalty and all our guests said the same, nothing was ever too much bother and they were so attentive.
What would be your number one piece of advice / tip that you would give to couples getting married at Ballyscullion Park?
