A romantic Strawberry Garden Wedding
Franky and Gary were due to get married abroad but had to reconsider due to covid so they booked Ballyscullion Park with only 10 weeks to go until their special day! Luckily for them, it couldn’t have been a more beautiful summer’s day, not too dissimilar to a wedding in Spain. And if there is one thing we have learned we are good at over the past two years, it is hosting and helping to plan a last minute wedding at our venue.
The couple held their romantic wedding ceremony in the Strawberry Garden surrounded by their nearest and dearest. The Bride opted for minimal decoration for her ceremony setting as the Strawberry Garden is absolutely beautiful as it is, with views across the Walled Garden and enclosed by a pretty beech hedge. The Bridal party had the most stunning dried flower bouquets by Sass and Halo, a fabulous florist based in Derry / Londonderry.
Beautiful Marquee and top table
The Marquee looked absolutely beautiful with ceiling and top table backdrop fairy lights provided by The Wedding Room NI.
The Bride’s mother is a very talented Pastry Chef so they were fortunate to have the most stunning wedding cake on the day. So simple and elegant. After dinner, the couple made their way through a tunnel of sparklers held by their guests and on to the fire pit for their first dance. The fire pit first dance has very much become a popular tradition here since the beginning of the pandemic and we have happily seen it continue. It also makes a fantastic back drop for some very dramatic photography.

The couple kindly left us a fabulous review of their day at Ballyscullion Park 💞
