Our September Weddings at Ballyscullion Park were really fortunate to get the loveliest weather for their big day. September is one of our favourite months for weddings here as the weather tends to be quite lovely and the garden is still full of beautiful blooms. We had such a mixture of personalities and styles among our couples but one prevailing theme was the addition of their four legged friends! It was our second month back to relative normality with our weddings and we were absolutely thrilled to have our couples back and to get into the swing of things again.

Our first wedding of the month featured lots of fabulously coloured smoke bombs which make for really brilliant photographs. One of our many outdoor weddings since opening up after lockdown, this lovely Bride and Groom made the absolute most of the garden and were so happy that their day went ahead with so many of their intended family and friends.

Our second wedding featured a very special guest, their beloved dog! So many of our couples love to bring their dogs along to their special day and we fully embrace it. We are super dog friendly at Ballyscullion Park as we believe that, for some, their pooch is a particularly important family member. We have a fantastic local luxury Kennel who provides a great offer including grooming your dog, bringing it along to your wedding and then taking it back to the Kennel for the night.

Our third couple of the month were the first to have a picnic at Ballyscullion Park on what should have been their wedding day. The Groom surprised his now wife with a lovely picnic and they had a glorious day of weather to enjoy the Walled Garden.

Our fourth wedding of September was a last-minute booking for us. The bride had hoped to get married in her local church but didn’t want to sacrifice numbers or have to worry about wearing a mask. So we gladly said yes to her request for a ceremony at Ballyscullion Park in our Walled Garden underneath a beautiful Butler’s canopy. The couple had the most extraordinarily beautiful September day, the sun was out and the garden looked fabulous.

Our last wedding of the month made the most of the wonderful weather by having a French Village Barbecue out on the lawn by the swing. We absolutely love it when our couples make the most of the gardens and a great way of doing this is by having your drinks reception and dinner outside. The guests had tea and coffee on arrival paired with delicious donuts from a donut wall. Then they were served table by table at the Barbecue which featured pork belly bites as well as a number of other tasty dishes.
Due to the good weather and the socially distancing restrictions, our in house Caterer Arbutus held all the Drinks Receptions outside which worked really well. It was a a great way to get guests to really make the most of the Walled Garden and the warm climate.
