Last Sunday we had our second wedding viewing day at Ballyscullion Park this year which we are delighted to say was a huge success. We had such a great turnout of lovely potential brides and grooms and we were so pleased with the support. Our open days are a great way to see the Marquee dressed and set up like a real wedding day and to meet all the members of our team, including Garry who runs the bar and Barry who owns the catering company Arbutus.
It was a beautiful day weather wise although Autumn is definitely just around the corner! Couples were encouraged to roam the garden at their leisure and to look at the Strawberry Garden and Palace Ruins for a potential ceremony spot. The firepit was lit, our fairy lights were turned on and the Marquee was dressed and laid out to give an idea of what a wedding day at Ballyscullion Park would be like.
We also had our some of our fabulous suppliers demonstrating their wares on the day. We have a wonderful group of vendors, some of whom have supported and worked with us from day one and it was lovely to see the couples getting to talk to them and see what they had to offer.
We had music throughout the day by the fabulously talented Les Magee who is a classically trained Harpist with over 30 years experience. Les creates the perfect background music for a wedding at Ballyscullion Park as it is elegant and fits wonderfully with the surroundings.
Victoria of Tortraits Floral Design provided a stunning backdrop of Dahlias and on the day. We have worked with Victoria from the very beginning and she is a very talented Florist. Victoria previously worked in the fashion industry in London and her creative flair really comes to life through her beautiful floral creations.
We had a fabulous array of cakes on display from Sugar Lane Artisan Cakes. Erin creates the most beautiful architectural and dramatic cakes that are a little different to the norm. Erin spent several years living in Australia where she was very influenced by the cake makers and bakers there.
For the photography we had Denise Leacock who is a very gifted local Photographer. Denise has snapped a number of weddings at Ballyscullion Park over the years, including that of our eldest daughter Olivia, and she really brings out the personality and charm of the venue. All the photos from this blog post were taken by Denise.*
The Wedding Room NI provided some wonderful décor such as fairy lights strewn across the ceiling and back wall of the marquee, faux blossom trees, lanterns and table centrepieces.
I Do Wedding Stationery had a stand full of their beautifully hand-crafted wedding stationery and Rathbollen displayed their handmade wood based products such as cake boards, table plans and signage. We also had a beautiful Daimler wedding car in the yard provided by Northern Ireland Wedding Cars. A number of beautiful dresses were provided by Pippa Bridal and Arbustus Catering kindly served tea, coffee and prosecco to our guests.
If you were unable to make an appointment for our wedding viewing day, please don’t hesitate to contact us to arrange a date and time to view Ballyscullion Park.
